As
a guest of The Oriental, you are 5 minutes from the city centre,
20 minutes from the airport, and within easy reach by way of the
Chao Phya River to Bangkok's
historic temples and palaces. We are here to assist you with all
of the following types of transport to ensure all your plans run
as smoothly as possible wherever you travel.
ALONG
THE RIVER
Beside
the hotel terrace Oriental have our own pier, and our Boat master
is on hand to assist you from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily.
THE
ORIENTAL SHUTTLE
The
Oriental have two shuttle boats at your service, one shuttling between
the hotel terrace and our Sala Rim Naam, Spa, and Sports Centre, and
the other making one additional stop at the River City shopping complex.
The shuttles operate from 6.00 a.m. to midnight every day.
LOCAL
RIVER TOURS
Long
tail boats and motor lauches are standing by for river tours throughout
the day.
DAY-trips
to the Ancient Thai Capital
Every day Oriental
River Queen cruisers ply the Chao Phya River, between the hotel and
the ancient capital of Ayudhaya and its glorious temples, offering
unforgettable glimpses of traditional river life all along the way.
Tours leave at 8.00 a.m. daily and return at approximately 5.00 p.m.,
travelling one way by river cruiser and the other by air-conditioned
coach.

Both
The Oriental Queen I and II are available for charter by the day or
for the evening, providing unique venues for cocktail parties, meetings,
dinners and incentive events. Capacities: Oriental Queen I-230 guests;
Oriental Queen II-180 guests.
HELICOPTER
SERVICE
TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT
A
helicopter service is available daily, 6.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., between
the River City shopping complex, just 10 minutes from The Oriental,
and the domestic terminal of the airport. Shuttle, transfer to the
international terminal, just minutes away, is included. Flying time
is only eight minutes. Luggage must travel by car. Maximum of six
passengers. Please make booking 24 hours in advance, during regular
business hours, by contacting the Concierge (ext. 3517) or the Enquiries
Desk ( ext. 3515 ) in lobby.

A FABLED TRAIN
JOURNEY
The
luxuriously bedecked Eastern and Oriental Express trains offer a popular
sightseeing three-day excursion, travelling through Singapore, stopping
in Kuala Lumpur, and ending in Bangkok three times a week, Please

THE
ORIENTAL LIMOUSINE SERVICE
Oriental's
luxury fleet of Mercedes Benz E220, Mercedes S Class and Daimler limousines,
each equipped with mobile phones, provides the most convenient way
to travel city. All drivers are courteous, English fluent, and thoroughly
Knowledgeable of the streets of Bangkok. The fleet is in service 24
hours a day for air port pick-up, business, shopping and even touring
beyond the city.
THE
ORIENTAL MOBILE OFFICE
For small group tours
and mobile business meetings Oriental also have Volkswagen Caravelle
and Toyota Vans for hire, each equipped with a facsimile machine,
TV, video player, and mobile phone.
